The Missing Piece to your Weight Loss Program

It’s 80% what you eat and 20% exercise…

Move more than you eat and you’re golden…

 

What if I call bullshit on all of that?

Because I do.

 

All of this in theory works, but why is it when many people do this they end up back where they start?

Because they have been missing out on a HUGE part to weight loss… The mind!

 

When someone decides that the need/want to lose weight it’s often times to get back to a former version of themselves…

“Back in high school I weighed 123lbs”

“Before I had my first kid I was a size 6”

Etc, etc, etc… the idea here is that people want to go back to something they once have been because of the FEELING that was associated with that time in their life. Well guess what. That time is gone.

 

Accept it.

 

That person from way back when is not you anymore. You have grown. You have gained experience. You have likely had many life changes since then. It is unrealistic to think that you could ever go back to that.

So I ask you….what feeling have you associated with that time in your life that you want to go back to?

 

Got it?

Good… Now please think of a reason you can’t have that same feeling here today.

 

Do I need to call bullshit again? I didn’t think so…there is no reason you can’t gain any feeling you once had in a previous body with the body that you have today.

If you keep your head stuck in the past, that is where you will stay.

If you shift your focus to what you want in your life… who you want to be… how you want to live…

IT WILL HAPPEN.

 

We were all born with the most powerful tool in the world… our imagination.

It is so powerful that it can tear a person down in to a deep dark place.. I know. I was there. I spent majority of my time believing in an image of myself that wasn’t true.

It is so powerful that it can transform a person in to a strong, confident, and capable individual… I know.

I AM THERE.

 

In order to get “there” a few things need to happen…

  1. Grab a piece of paper and write down all the things you don’t want in your life. Who you don’t want to be. Things about your body you can’t stand. Relationships that are toxic. Things people have told you that you can’t do. Things you tell yourself you can’t do.
  2. Take all those things and turn them to the complete opposite in the present tense.
    • Example: I don’t want to be weak –> I am strong.
  3. Read it. Believe it. Be it. Over and over again.

 

At first it may be very difficult to read some of the things you want in the present tense… that’s ok. Read it anyways. Read it over and over until you have even the slightest inkling of believing it. You will begin to believe it.

No different from all the nasty thoughts you have said to yourself for years…and years…and years… You believe them. You believe that you are worthless. You believe that you can’t make a difference. You believe that you are fat. Ugly. Dumb. Incapable of love. Unable to ever have the body you want.

You believe all of those things until you begin to tell yourself otherwise. So I ask of you today…

Are you ready to make a lasting change? Are you ready to finally break through that plateau?

 

Then grab that piece of paper. There is no “right” time to do this. It’s just a matter of doing it or not.

 

How important are you to yourself? I know for a fact that you are a magnificent human. We all are. It’s a matter of whether we believe it or not.

Are you important enough to take 15-20 minutes and write instead of beating yourself up on the treadmill for eating a cupcake? (In case you are unsure… you are.)

 

Take the time to bust through your plateau to a whole new level that you never thought you’d be capable of. It’s going to make you feel as if you’ve lost 1,000lbs…. I promise.
